Coffee is required

There’s something special about watching a bustling café from the sidelines — seeing people grab their morning coffees, suited up and ready to conquer the day. 49th Parallel Café felt like stepping into a scene from my days working in downtown Boston. The marble tables, to-go cups, and fast-paced efficiency brought me right back to that rhythm of city life.

But this time, I wasn’t part of the hustle. I was just a traveler, savoring a cappuccino (classic), people-watching, and soaking in the moment. The donuts? We grabbed a cruller on of the days we were here, and it did not disappoint. Only second to homemade churros-level good.

We ended up going twice. Why? Great coffee. Beautiful vibe. And it was right by our Airbnb.

This café isn’t a destination spot where you’ll park and linger for hours, but if you’re nearby? Absolutely worth a visit. You’ll leave with a solid coffee in hand, maybe a donut or two, and the feeling that you’ve touched a piece of local life.

Because, really, isn’t that what travel is all about? 🌍✨
